Not sure i fully understand but i toss out a suggestion.
Rv power awning does not roll up straight.
Rv awning tension adjustment.
Mine does that as well the top of the forward arm doesn t quite seat so i get in the truck bed and smack it into position.
If it does not then the problem lies with the awning wiring.
If the arms don t line out perfectly or the fabric is rolled a little bit to one side or the other unroll the awning and adjust the material by pulling slightly left or right in the track as needed.
Roll the awning back up to confirm that it rolls up straight and the arms line up properly.
Shift it some and then roll the awning back in.
Remove the wire and get it replaced.
I am sure most caravan owners who installed roll out awnings on their caravans have faced the problem when the rv awning not retracting straight while most of you might be thinking the entire structure of the caravan rollout awning is the cause your rv awning won t roll up the issue might only be with the alignment and the position of the rv awning arms.
An rver asks gary bunzer the rv doctor why the awning on his recreational vehicle will not retract evenly and what he can do to f.
You can see the attached picture but the power awning will reel out and in with no apparent problem until i retract the awning all the way up to and against the rv.
Make sure the grab strap is centered before you release the tube and begin retracting your.
It might be time to adjust the tension.
The grab strap should be centered equal distance from each end of the roller tube.
However it closes and opens completely despite the twisted roll.
Awning not lining up straight when retracting.
Atsource on 05 21 10 09 53pm i have a dometic power awning on my new tt which doesn t seem to be rolling up evenly.
My power awning would not retract flush to the motor home.
Has your rv awning been sagging.
Check the reading on voltmeter it should read around 12 4 volts.
If it is off center as you roll up your awning the awning will not roll up evenly and will be off center.
If it did show 12 v then that means the awning wiring is fine and the issue lies with the motor.
This is a quick and easy fix that requires just a few.
Has it had a lot of water pooled in it or maybe it is just somewhat old.
