Rv Awning Release Lever Stuck

The awning worked fine till we washed the trailer.

Usually the clicking are the gears skipping. Lastly it could be the gears in the motor housing. Step 1 extend awning slightly. Could be a bad strut that is hard to collapse grab the awning while out and try pushing in by hand.
